Ingredients You’ll need

Beef burger Ingredients
  • Ground beef: 3/4 of the beef is meat and 1/4 is fat.
  • White onion, thinly sliced: Adds a sweet and sharp flavor that complements the beef.
  • Pepper and garlic powder: Enhance the taste of the beef with subtle, savory notes.
  • Salt: Essential for seasoning and bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients.
  • Butter: I used the butter to enhance the fragrance of the white onions.
  • Egg: You can remove the egg white if you want, but I didn’t want to waste any, so I put it all in.
  • Burger buns: I bought the buns at the local supermarket.
  • Tomato, sliced: It is better to use the big tomatoes, but if you have the cherry tomatoes, you can use that instead.
  • Lettuce: I used the oak leaves lettuce.
  • Whole Pickle: I bought the whole pickled , I sliced them into circle shape.
  • Cheese: I use the easy melt cheese.
  • Mayonnaise: Creates a smooth, creamy base for the sauce.
  • Ketchup: Adds sweetness and a tangy flavor to the sauce.
  • Mustard: Provides a zesty kick that balances the sweetness of the ketchup.
  • Pickled relish: Introduces a sweet and tangy crunch to the sauce, enhancing its complexity.
  • Pickled Juice: I added a tablespoon of the whole pickle juice to the mayonnaise sauce.

Quick Guide On How To Make Beef Burger

Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickled relish, pickled juice, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Beef Patties:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, pepper, garlic powder, and half of the salt. Mix gently until the ingredients are just combined. Do not overmix.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a loose ball. Do not press them too tightly.

Cook the Burgers:

  1. Heat a griddle or a large heavy-bottomed skillet (cast iron works best) over high heat until it’s hot.
  2. Place the beef balls on the hot griddle or skillet, leaving plenty of space between them.
  3. Using a heavy spatula (or a burger press if you have one), smash each beef ball down into a patty. Apply enough pressure to ensure the patty is thin and cooks evenly. Top each patty with some sliced onion.
  4. Melt some butter in the middle part of the skillet, fry the remaining white onion until light brown, and top it onto each patty.
  5. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges are brown and crispy.
  6. Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each one. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.

Toast the Buns:

  1. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the griddle or in a separate pan until they are golden brown.
