  • Saba banana (unripe or green) : For this recipe, it is most recommended to use “saba” or “cardava” kind of banana. It is also important that the bananas are unripe or else you won’t have the crispiness we are looking for.
  • Cooking oil : Any kind of cooking oil is fine, you may use olive oil for a much healthier snack.
  • Cheese or Salt : You may use what flavor you like, my siblings do like cheese so I used cheese.

Ingredients

  • 16 pieces 16 Saba Banana

  • 30 grams 30 Cheese powder

  • 375 ml 375 cooking oil

Directions

  • Peel the skin off the “saba” banana.
  • Slice the banana into French fry-like sizes.
  • Heat your pan on high and add cooking oil.
  • When the cooking oil is very, very hot, fry the sliced bananas. Do not overcrowd.
  • Fry until crispy, for 3 to 6 minutes, maintaining the oil at 350°F (175°C).
  • When done, remove from the heat and season with cheese.
  • Mix and enjoy!
